General Leasing Questions

How do our rates compare to on-campus housing rates?

When comparing our rates to on-campus rates you must take into consideration many variables, including floor plan layout, square footage, furniture, utilities and community events. Our leasing staff is available to discuss with you how our rates compare to other housing options and validate that our community offers you the best value for your money, as well as a great location and incredible amenities.

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

You are welcome to bring additional furniture with you, but don’t forget that we fully furnished all of our apartments. If you wish to replace some of our furniture and use yours instead, you will be responsible for finding storage for our furniture and putting the items back upon your move out.

Do you allow pets?

How are roommates matched?

We have partnered with RoomSync to provide a modern matching platform where residents choose their own roommates. After you complete the leasing process you will be emailed a link to join our RoomSync network. You will then log in to RoomSync using Facebook, create a matching profile, and begin your search to find your new best friend - or roommate for starters. If you already have a roommate in mind, you can confirm your roommate request within RoomSync.

How close to campus are you?

We are located a block away from the University of Texas Austin.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

Skyloft does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!

Is parking available?

Parking is $165.00 a resident! We also provide guest parking.

What size are the beds?

Our beds are full-size.

What types of leases are available?

We offer 12 month installment leases.

What utilities are included in my rent?

We utilize our partner, Conservice, to split bill for water and electric and charge them to each resident’s account.

When can I move in?

We are currently pre-leasing for the Fall 2022 semester. We may have some limited availability for immediate move-ins. Please contact our office for more details!

Renewal Questions

Can I request different roommates?

We want you to be comfortable here, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your roommate requests.

What is a "renewal?"

Are you loving it here and can't imagine leaving at the end of your lease? By signing a renewal, you get to extend your stay at your community!

If I renew, will my guarantor have to sign again?

No. Your guarantor doesn't have to do anything extra!

If I renew, do I have to move out then move back in?

When you renew and choose to stay in your current spot, no moving is required!

I'm graduating in December, can I still renew?

Contact the office for details on the options available to you.

I just moved in, is it too early to renew?

Renewing now will provide the most benefit to you. By signing early, you will secure your space for next year and take advantage of the best pricing available.

How do I renew?

We know how busy you are, so we have made the process as quick and easy as possible. Renewing is a easy as "1,2,3"! Just following these steps:

1. Open your renewal email from us.
2. Review the terms, and click "Accept"
3. Follow the prompts to sign the new lease agreement.

It's that easy!

On the first day of your new lease.
